Discover the history of Rocky Mountain House and area.

At the Rocky Museum, we bring museum storytelling to life by transporting visitors to an era when homesteaders built their lives from the ground up and lumberjacks worked the nearby forests. Take a seat in a desk in our Glacier School. Walk through the Brown log home, and check out the daily chore list from the 1930's. Our museum is open year-round, and we encourage you to bring a picnic to enjoy at Helen Hunley Memorial Park alongside your visit.

We are a recognized member of the Alberta Museums Association, deeply committed to historical preservation, sharing authentic stories, and artifacts that reflect the lives of early settlers in our region. Our exhibits, including the Glacier School and the Brown Log Home, provide hands-on experiences that connect visitors with our local heritage.
Take the first step toward your historical adventure by reaching out to us today. We are open year-round and look forward to helping you arrange your visit.
